Costa Brava Destination Wedding Photographer | Barcelona, Spain

When we met Jessica and Guy in Sedona for their engagement photos the very last photo we did they were holding a Spain travel book. We were so excited they wanted to have their wedding in Spain! When couples tell me of destination weddings and it’s a few years off I never get my hopes up because things can change. Thankfully June 8th we all headed off to Spain!

They settled on the quaint little coastal town of Palafrugell, just an hour drive north of Barcelona. Palafrugell is in the heart of Costa Brava and sits right on the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Have I mentioned how much I love being a destination wedding photographer?!

After a 6 hour long delayed flight into Barcelona we arrived and drove up to Costa Brava. The day before the wedding there was a torrential rainstorm but on the big day it was the absolute perfect wedding day. It was clear skies, warm sun and the ocean breeze. Plus check out those views!! Come to find out they had actually originally wanted to get married near Tuscany or Venice, Italy since the groom’s family is originally from Sicily. Unfortunately they weren’t able to find quite what they were looking for and it was a bit pricey but clearly they still made a great choice!
