When Mark first contacted me he was set on proposing in front of the famous Bellagio fountains on their visit from New York City on Valentines Day. But something that rarely happens, happened. It poured rain ALL day from 5 am into the evening so the fountains outside weren’t going to work since they are outside.

His parents were staying at The Wynn where they had decorated for the Chinese New Year and there was a colorful, fun carousel that he instead decided on.

Galina was in town for a work conference so was just expecting to work all day and explore with her boyfriend at night. They were “going out to a nice dinner” when they came up to us and asked my wife to take a photo of them, she started videoing them while I snuck around the corner with my camera. He turned to her, got down on one knee and asked if she would marry him. She was completely clueless, started crying and jumping up and down and nodding while saying “yes, yes, yes!” She had absolutely no clue that he had planned on proposing.

We snapped a few photos of them then we all headed upstairs to tell his parents. On the way up she said “I have to FaceTime my mom” he told her just wait until they were upstairs. Once they got to the room they went into the living room and there were her parents waiting to congratulate her. It was quite emotional and sweet how surprised and excited she was. He decorated the room with balloons and a bottle of champagne. We then went back downstairs to find somewhere to get some photos at and found this unique tropical room. Needless to say it was a very special Valentines day to remember.
