Dead Horse Point State Park Proposal | Utah Photographer

engagement photos at dead horse point state park

When Daniel initially reached out he wanted an intimate location for his surprise proposal to Helen. He was hoping for Delicate Arch at Arches National Park. If you’ve ever been there no matter what time of day or time of year you are anything but secluded. It is one of the most popular hikes in that area. So, we suggested Dead Horse Point State Park for the proposal. Far less people are at this park and there’s no 3 mile hike with 500 feet of elevation. It’s literally just 200′ walk from the parking lot, much better for sunrise, especially for those that aren’t such early risers.

The two were celebrated their 10 year anniversary. He walked her to the previously discussed location we decided on and went through the actions that let me know he was about to propose. I was off to the side pretending to take photos of the beautiful landscape when he got down on one knee. She said yes!
