Lake Isabelle Elopement | Colorado Photographer

When Nick and Katie gave us a list of must haves for their dream elopement we were on a mission to find it. They requested snow capped mountain, a waterfall and wildflowers for their July adventure elopement. I immediately thought of a hike we had taken a few weeks earlier at Lake Isabelle and it checked all of the boxes. We sent over a few photos and they were in love. We set the alarm for 3:15 AM heading into the park and started the hike around 4. 1 hour later we reached the lake as the sun was peaking out and turning the mountains behind us a beautiful shade of red. They quickly changed out of their hiking clothes and into their wedding attire for their first look. It was freezing with the wind coming off of the lake but the backdrop for their photos were incredible. We did some portraits then headed back down.

At 10 AM the ceremony started at Brainard Lake where it was easier for guests to walk to. A quick ceremony, a few more portraits and some bagels and that was a wrap for this gorgeous Colorado elopement!
